My brother Mike gave me the guts of a Pentium4 Dell a while ago. They came in some brown cardboard boxes, and after a brief stint as a wireless internet radio terminal running Linspire OS, it was shelved. At some point I wanted to turn it into a cardboard box PC- I mean the boxes it came in were just the right size to hold everthing. [img_assist|nid=377|title=Boxy.14|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=128|height=96] Well, months later I have finally started my cardboard PC. I've decided to throw a little creative effort into the project so I can end up with a relatively sharp-looking rig when I'm done. The parts should be secure and should fit neatly inside the case. To that extent, I am integrating the metal mounting brackets that hold the drives and PCI cards, and the motherboard tray- all pieces that came with the guts. The goal is minimizing waste by reusing as much of the original PC parts and boxes as possible. After some measuring, I can start cutting holes for the rear ports. The result looks pretty good.
